Catherine said it was her father’s place, who had gone out in his boat three years before and never returned. Nobody knew what had happened to him. But mother always kept that place for him, because she hoped he would come back. “My mother has been waiting for him for three years,” said Catherine.
Rob saw a photograph on the wall and stared at the empty chair. Suddenly he heard footsteps outside the door and saw a tall man, with black beard he had seen in the photograph, enter the room. Rob rushed out of the room.
