There are many ways to loose weight, and following a diet is one of the most popular ones. But is being on a diet the best strategy to grow thin?

In my opinion, any diet is not the best solution for those who are striving to overcome obesity. Firstly, limited meals give a hard time to a dieter. Restraint from food inflicts moral damage on them. As a rule, people are reluctunt to change their eating habits. Secondly, people may have diseases making any diet dangerous. For example, if you suffer from diabetes, you have to take pills and rigorously stick to a special food intake schedule prescribed by a doctor, otherwise you put your life at risk.

But there are people who consider a diet to be the best way to lose weight. They see it simple — a human being is what he eats. So, if you eat much, you get plump, and vice versa.

Nevertheless, I cannot agree with the foregoing statement. People are sophisticated living organisms and food intaking is only one aspect of them. Losing weight needs not only diets, but also physical activity, positive attitude to life, etc.

To sum it up, every person wants to look slim and sporty. But they should not be overfond of following diets, which can do more harm than good.
