Упражнение 4 на написание личного письма

УпражнениеОтвет

You have received a letter from your English-speaking pen friend Paul who writes:

…My friends and I are planning to come to Moscow for a week in January. Could you tell me what the weather is like in Moscow at this time of the year? What clothes should we take? What winter sport do you like best of all?..
…As for my news last Friday I went to the Globe Theatre…

Write a letter to Paul.

In your letter:

• answer his questions
• ask 3 questions about his visit to the Globe Theatre

Write 100-140 words.
Remember the rules of letter writing.

Dear Paul,

Thanks for your letter! It’s great to hear from you again.

Moscow in January is typically quite cold, with temperatures often below freezing. You should expect snow and possibly some icy conditions. I’d recommend packing warm clothes like thick sweaters, a heavy winter coat, gloves, a hat, and waterproof boots. Layering is key to staying comfortable.

As for winter sports, I personally love ice skating. We have some beautiful outdoor rinks in Moscow that are magical in the winter.

It’s great that you visited the Globe Theatre! I’m curious to know more. What play did you see there? How did you like the experience of watching a performance in such a historic venue? Did you have a chance to take a tour of the theatre as well?

Looking forward to hearing about your theatre experience and your upcoming trip to Moscow!

Best wishes,
