Interviewer: Hello everybody! It’s Teenagers Round the World Channel. Our guest today is a teenager from Russia and we are going to discuss summer holidays. We’d like to know our guest’s point of view on this issue. Please answer five questions. So, let’s get started.
Interviewer: What part of Russia do you live in? What’s the weather like in summer there?
Student: I live in Western Siberia. This is the cenrtal part of the Russian Federation. The weather is normally very warm in summer. It often rains a lot.
Interviewer: What else would you like our listeners to know about your region?
Student: Western Siberia is an industrial area with lots of big plants and factories. At the same time, Western Siberia is a culturally developed region. There are many theatres and museums, educational and research institutions here.
Interviewer: What can you tell us about your family?
Student: My family is not very big. It consists of four persons: my mother, my father, my elder brother and me. We get along well with each other.
Interviewer: How did you use to spend your summer holidays when you were seven?
Student: When I was seven, my family and I used to go to the mountains and forests for active holidays. We lived in tents, went river rafting. We were really into extreme things!
Interviewer: How would you like to spend your summer holidays in 10 years?
Student: I think nothing will drastically change in the way I spend my summer holidays in 10 years. I will stick to active holidays, and probably, I will add some other forms of activities such as parachuting or base jumping.

Student: I usually shop for clothes at the mall. There is a wide variety of stores and brands. Plus, there are often discounts and sales.
Interviewer: What goods can you buy in the nearest supermarket?
Student: In the nearest supermarket, you can buy groceries, household chemicals, and home goods. They have fresh vegetables and fruits. Ready-made meals and drinks are also available.
Interviewer: Are you a big spender?
Student: No, I try to save money. I only buy what I need. I often look for deals and discounts.
Interviewer: Do you follow somebody’s advice on how to do shopping?
Student: Yes, sometimes I listen to advice from friends and family. They often recommend good stores and products. I also read reviews online.
Interviewer: What could you recommend people who would like to buy fresh food?
Student: Buy food at farmers’ markets. They always have fresh vegetables and fruits. Also, pay attention to the dates on packages in supermarkets.

Interviewer: What does a healthy lifestyle mean for you?
Student: For me, a healthy lifestyle means eating right, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep. It also includes avoiding bad habits. Maintaining mental health is equally important.
Interviewer: Why is a healthy lifestyle important for everyone?
Student: A healthy lifestyle helps prevent diseases. It improves overall well-being and energy levels. It also contributes to longevity and a good quality of life.
Interviewer: What kind of sport would you recommend people for a better health?
Student: I would recommend running. It improves cardiovascular health and helps maintain weight. Swimming and yoga are also beneficial.
Interviewer: What do you think is an effective way to throw an addiction?
Student: An effective way is to seek professional help. Support from family and friends is also crucial. Engaging in new hobbies can help distract from the addiction.
Interviewer: Why is it difficult for many people to lead a healthy lifestyle?
Student: Many find it difficult due to lack of time and motivation. Stress and existing bad habits also play a role. Sometimes people don’t know where to start or how to eat properly.
