Teacher’s pet
It seems that it would be a good idea for any student to want to be teacher’s ‘pet’, or favourite. After all, if a teacher likes you the most, that teacher ( REWARD ) you with the most privileges in class, won’t they?
Strangely, though, almost no student wants this role! If they were given the choice, they ( PREFER ) to have a good relationship, but not too favourable.
Unfortunately, kids who are labelled teacher’s pet ( MAKE ) fun of by their classmates. The other students become jealous, so they try to level things out by giving the favoured student a hard time.
If anyone ever calls you a teacher’s pet, don’t let it get to you. It’s nothing but positive to have a good relationship with teachers, so just be ( YOU ) and ignore the others.
