It’s not warm, is it? |

Katie: |

I know. I can’t believe how cold it is this morning! It’s absolutely freezing. |

Tim: |

I’m afraid I have to disagree with you there. According to my digital thermometer it is three and a half degrees at present – so not freezing at all! |

I can’t wait for spring this year. It’s been such a cold winter. |
|
|
|
Katie: |
|
Oh, absolutely! |
|
|

Tim: |

I’m sorry but I can’t agree with you there. These are perfectly normal temperatures for the time of year. In fact, this winter has been rather warmer than average. |

The bus service seems to be getting worse these days. |

Katie: |

I couldn’t agree more! I’m late for work nearly every morning at the moment! It’s just a joke! |
|

Tim: |

I agree to a point. I think it’s fair to say the bus service is less than ideal. However, by my calculations, the average time between buses is in fact less than a year ago – down from thirteen minutes to eleven and a half. |

Do you know what? I think I’ll walk. The exercise might warm me up. |

Do you mind if I join you? |
